This is the final collaboration between outlaw legends Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, this also being Haggard's last studio album, as he passed in 2016. It's a well-produced collection of songs and though it plays to appeal to fans of Outlaw country in the 1970s, it's not gimmicky and comes across as anything but insincere. Instead, the talent and spirit of these old men still speaks for itself, coming across as very real and very good.
