Ive been a huge admirer of these guys since this excellent debut was first released coming up on 6 years post. From the get go it was clear there was genuine talent and substance behind the sound they were creating ,even if it was some what derivative. But here’s the thing, they don’t care where their sound comes from, it fact they proudly wear their influences like a badge of honour. Hell they are even called NOTHING BUT THIEVES (get it ? LOL). The obvious touch point is Jeff Buckley (tick), with bits a pieces of the Pixies (tick), 70’s FM Rock (tick) and Grunge sprinkled into the mix
The “official” album runs for 12 tracks ending at “Tempt You (Evocatio)” but the “deluxe” edition includes 4 additional tracks that could have and should have been included on the album proper including the excellent “Neon Brother” which remains NBT’s best track
A great debut album, my favorite from them. Sounds perfect with nice small details. They started with this harder album and their next albums became softer and softer.
This album is much more better than many albums in the overall top 100 chart.
An incredible debut album. A definitive must listen.
Great debut album. Excited to hear more from these guys. I hear bits of Muse and "The Bends" era Radiohead in a few of these songs.

This album is a Masterpiece. It seems I'm listening to Muse, and then suddenly it's Jeff Buckley. An incredible variety of styles in just one LP, this album should be among the 100 best ever records.
