As you may have noticed at this point, I love albums containing few long songs. This is another example of it, one of the best prog rock albums ever made. It is quite an experience.

If I weren't so prog-minded, this would be my Top 1. In fact, it has been top 1 for a long time. Radiohead is overrated in this site, but this album isn't.

I can't think of a better pop rock album. It's just so enterteining and beautiful, almost every song has a different guitar tuning, so inspiring...

I have to say there are 2 terrible songs in here, but the rest are good/incredible. This album doesn't work perfectly as an ensamble, but it contains too many awesome tracks. Really underrated album form a sadly underrated band.

First album to be on my chart... 10/10. This album has everything any other Green Day album lacks. It works great as an aggregate, it contains the best songs of Green Day and it is not too long for having 18 tracks.

Nice stuff! You've gotta check out Steven Wilson's "Hand Cannot Erase" if you haven't gotten around to it yet. I think it's his definitive masterpiece.

Back in 2021 I rated this chart as 80/100 and included the following comment: Any chart that includes Gang Of Youth's 'Go Farther Into Darkness' gets my vote.
I have revisited the chart today (4 Jan 2023) and enjoyed the comments to your top 21 choices and look forward to comments on the rest - although I do understand how time consuming & demanding such a task can be - I am still doing mine. This chart is much more interesting & considered & unique (& positively challenging to some of my biases) than I first thought ~ so I have upped my rating to 90/100.

We both have the same number one, Animals is perfection. Love that you have Ween in your top 10, I really should include them again on my chart, just never sure which album. As far as strange bands like Ween I also love Butthole Surfers, Primus and of course one of the original weirdos Mr Frank Zappa himself. You should give them a whirl if you haven't yet. Oh and I love your appreciation of prog. Yes is great, Genesis, Camel, Porcupine Tree and of course Floyd etc.. great list! Oh and all three of those Supertramp albums are wonderful!

Great thing. Even the bands I don't like that much like Oasis have credible best album pick here (Definitely Maybe>everything Oasis). Also Animals as the best Pink Floyd (I think it's the best too, relatively, they're all great). Then you have Supertramp, the best song on Crimson's first is I Talk To The Wind (so correct!), then Iron Maiden, Alice In Chains, Pixies and some folk thrown in... Agree with you on almost every pick.

Incredible chart! I was just getting into Ween when I checked out this chart 3 years ago, and since then I've fallen in love with Quebec. You have a bunch of cult favourites on this chart, which makes me wonder... have you ever heard Spilt Milk by Jellyfish? It's another one of those lost classics that should be unanimously praised but isn't. Highly recommended!
