Absolute classic, one of the great funk albums of all time. DEFINITELY check out the 4 minute clip of them doing Son of Shaft in the Wattstax documentary if you haven't, shame there's not more, but it's one of the greatest 4 minutes of concert film ever. Not long ago, Larry Dodson, the singer and front man, celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary--not what you expect from the front man of a me-decade funk band; I just think it's interesting. This band was root-down funky.
