If you give up all pretense to taste, even to proportion even, sometimes you come out the back side across the boundaries into something good despite itself. So it is with the "Ballroom Streets" version of "Ruby Tuesday." Don't ask awkward questions, don't fight it, just go with it, and you'll be better prepared for the unexpected from then on. And do recognize that Melanie has a special dispensation from the Pope or something-- she pulls unforgiveable lapses in taste four or five times an album-- and always seems to get away with it, if not exactly make it work...

I loved this Album. Melanie was of her time I guess and I was into the singer songwriter phase I guess I still am.

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
