Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Somehow these guys get overlooked in the reverence for late 80s - early 90s alternative rock. They peaked with Grave Dancer's Union, and their quality fell quickly after that. But when they were on, they wrote great guitar-driven melodies with thoughtful lyrics. Underrated.
