Criminally under-rated band. Their snide, snarky lyrics may deter some listeners, but the melodies this group has produced should have endeared them to throngs of fans both in Europe and in the U.S. from where I am writing. Despite a lack of recognition this band has soldiered on for 30 years, bringing hours of enjoyment to lucky fans like me!
Was never a fan but saw them support R.E.M. in 95 when they stepped in last minute after Oasis pulled out. With the number of catchy singalong singles that they had, by the 3rd song they'd won over what was a pretty hostile crowd and had the whole arena jumping. They even did a version of Some Might Say for all the people who were expecting Oasis and that got a massive cheer. Have to admit now that they are my guilty pleasure.
