This band are a British national treasure. Constantly evolving, and so open minded, incorporating new stylistic influences with every release. Their acoustic shows as a three-piece highlight what an awesome, versatile musician Danny Cavanagh is, and the underrated Lee Douglas sits firmly in my top 3 British female vocalists.
These guys are just so wonderful and real and authentic and sweet and awesome.
Impossible to put (in correct) words. Thank God for this band. There are only a few so talented, humble and TRUE bands. Everything what they do sounds Anathema and they surely have done quite a journey.
Stunning band. Weather Systems is one of the standout albums of 2012. Produced by Steve Wilson of Porcupine Tree fame, this is one of the best bands around right now.
These Brits certainly didn't make life easy for themselves. I don't know all about what happened, but being so talented and willing to evolve did end up Anathema to loose a recording deal. Still look forward to see some new material of them sooner or later as since a friend of mine introduced me into one of 1999's greatest albums Judgment, I'm buying everything new they put out almost immediately.
