like most previous comments say, he is a guilty pleasure - he is popy, he is predictable, he is cliche but damn he has catchy songs u still like.
The fact that his first album was overrated has led to a lot of hate and ridicule, and ultimately he has become underrated. Back To Bedlam is actually great with no real filler, and All The Lost Souls is good also.

Here's the embodiment of my guilty pleasure, though I try not to be guilty about it because I still think that Back to Bedlam and All The Lost Souls are decent stuff. What can I do? I grew up with this. I cannot ever hate "Carry You Home", not with the memories it holds for me.
Don't really care for his newer albums, though.

Guess he's one of those artists you have to hate. His last two albums are pretty much a waste of time, but Back To Bedlam is solid pop only with good songs on it.
