It's interesting that this partnership formed after Robert Plant took to bashing Whitesnake for trying to rip off the Zep sound and calling David Coverdale "David Cover version." But Page collaborated with Coverdale anyway and the results are... well... lackluster at best. There is no sign of the inspired music either is capable of producing.
Product does not meet expectation. Only good aspect of this album is that it appears Page learned from mistakes which is why Page & Plant sounds a lot better then this album.
Led Zeppelin guitarist and Whitsnake vocalist. Two groups I really like and should fit well together. How come every time I listen to this album I feel disappointed. It could have been so much more. Instead it feels like a tired cash grab. A few good songs but mostly average.
