And this, kids, is the band where guitarists went to become gods. Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page are all on their resume'.

Never quite as good as they should have been with the band members they had. However, a lot of good individual tracks without ever making a classic album. They spawned Led Zeppelin,so for that we should be grateful.

They made a couple of great tracks, but they especially stood out for their sound. There was nothing in the mid-sixties quite as heavy as The Yardbirds.
