They made a couple of great tracks, but they especially stood out for their sound. There was nothing in the mid-sixties quite as heavy as The Yardbirds.

Never quite as good as they should have been with the band members they had. However, a lot of good individual tracks without ever making a classic album. They spawned Led Zeppelin,so for that we should be grateful.
