A vocal harmony group in the tradition of the Hollies, Vanity Fare tread a similar path of that group only without the hits of that group. The singing quartet emerged from the UK in the late sixties with Trevor Brice, Tony Goulden, Tony Jarret and Dick Allix providing the vocal and instrumental talent. They had a hit on both sides of The Atlantic with "Hitchin' A Ride" in 1969. They released many more albums of similar, though non-descript, material. In late 1969 they were joined by a fifth member, Barry Landerman. For a more detailed biography see wikipedia.org
