Everything must go, or as George Harrison put it, all things must pass. It seems to deal more with existence in general than the political and rebellious "The Holy Bible" did. "We only want to get drunk", who can't relate to that? Musically, a lot more accessible too.

Definitely out there somwhere. Yes, you may think the album cover is an eyesore, but I find it to be somewhat descriptive of the music. Quite trippy, colourful and flourishing with weird living creatures!

Music from a different era from today (well, the 90s)! The first time you hear these pseudo-latin gregorian chants mixed with electronics and occasionally even electric guitar, it sounds pretty silly, especially on "Ameno". Do give it more than one chance, you'll in no time hum along these medieval yet modern-sounding tunes. In other words, oddly addictive!

An older George Michael, that's for sure. Never before has an album of his been as soulfully jazzy and hauntingly atmospheric as this one. Still pop of course, but his most mature in that department!

Prepare to be in a state of permanent abyss on this apocalyptic tour that will take you only to visit dead cities. Starts out as exceptionally dark with electronica much harsher than previous FSoL albums before it moves into more relaxed ambient land, although it's fascinatingly haunting all the way through.

Commercially, this is the most outstanding Suede album. Suede are not only coming up, they are already on top here! Besides the well-known hits, there are quite a few underrated gems to be found. From this point, Suede would move on to make "Coming Downs"!

Beautifully angsty guitar rock full of (post-) teenage angst! These tunes will rock you, maybe also leave a tear on your face!

Admittedly, the third of its kind. Enigma have found their winner formula, but that doesn't make this one less special. This third chapter has a way of... morphing through time. It is darker and more despairful, like a last cry for help! If only they would stop reusing that same opening snippet from the first album...

Songs from the neoclassical corner of new age music. The songs could in fact be the soundtrack to entering a secret garden, judging from this album, a beautiful secret garden. Mainly performed with classical instruments and real vocals/choir, the sound is perfectly organic and understatedly beautiful.

10 songs of medieval mourning. If you've ever encountered an album with the most incredibly sombre atmosphere during the first minute or so only to be let down by a generic metal sound kicking in... well, this album is exactly like that except no metal ensemble ever pollutes this majestic fog of endless pain and suffering!
