Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 4% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 79.2/100, a mean average of 79.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.8/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 13.5.

Suede are one my favorite bands and one of the most underrated bands of the 90s. Their first two albums are masterpieces and even after Bernard Butler (guitar player) left they've managed to put out a great album, Coming Up with a great guitar player, Richard Oakes. After a dark period they returnerd with one of the most successful reunions of all time, putting three great albums (so far) that really did justice to their legacy. All the band members are great players but Brett Anderson is a fantastic singer and a poet of the suburbs and nightlife.

By far the best Britpop band (if not counting Stone Roses and The La's), and I've only listened to the first 3 albums so far. But the quality of the songwriting is so high, the songs are just as catchy and anthemic as Oasis songs, but are much better in terms of production, interesting ideas and experimentation. Very unique and much darker than any of their contemporaries.

The first three albums are faultless, but don't forget Sci-Fi Lullabies, equal to if not even better than the first three.

There's a lot more to Britpop than the Blur/Oasis rivalry, and Suede are the best place to start exploring it. The edgier, cooler, more innovative and more extravagant side of the movement, and a band with a hell of a lot more depth than the aforementioned two.
Their first 3 albums are essential must-listen pieces of the 90s alternative scene.
Suede (1st album) is amazing while Coming Up is very good. Dog Man Star might be my favourite Britpop album. All 3 of these albums have a few b-sides that are just as essential as the album tracks. Brett Anderson is an excellent singer.
Brought pouting swagger back into rock music, long overdue. One of the best bands of the 90s, first 2 albums incredible but still put out some great music afterwards imo. The quality of their b sides collection sci fi lullabies shows just how many great songs these guys made. Awesome live.
Excellent band and one of few whose comebacks actually worked!
The rating I've given is just for the first 2 albums. Bernard Butlers guitar playing was inspirational, and he was one of the reasons I first picked up a guitar. For anyone who hasnt heard him, a perfect example is The Wild Ones. Look it up, close your ears to Brett Andersons singing and just listen to him play, from the second his electric guitar kicks in its just beautiful and mesmerising. After he quit, for me they lost their appeal and just were not the same and I'd score them 20/100.
I think I missed the party
