I am aware that I'm really out on a major limb with this one, especially considering the backstory to the pair's downfall. Still, if you were of primary school age in, say, 1988-89, and you did not listen to Milli Vanilli, I utterly refuse to believe you. You did listen to them. And you LIKED IT. Oh yes you did. Do not deny it. We all did. [First added to this chart: 06/20/2017]

Is it ok to like this band yet? Or has that haircut ensured you can never ever do so for all of eternity? [First added to this chart: 06/21/2017]

The Simpsons still have a degree of cred, in spite of having jumped the shark several times over the last decade-or-so (easy to forget the show was actually clever satire in the 90s), but let's face it, musically this is, well, what it is. [First added to this chart: 06/20/2017]

This is not a bad album to be honest, but it did pave the way for kiddie rock acts like Alien Ant Farm or Fall Out Boy, the likes of which made the early 2000s a horrible cultural wasteland. Basically the moment alternative rock music stopped being cool and became a mere commodity. [First added to this chart: 06/20/2017]

The Power is seriously bloody awful and something I wouldn't admit to liking even if I did, but this actually has something. It's cheesy as hell, "Rhythm Is A Dancer" includes the single worst line in existence (you know the one), but this encapsulated the early 90s, that wonderfully optimistic end-of-history, the-cold-war-is-over, one-europe-hooray period in history, like few others. Well, at least if you were 12 and just about to discover grunge music. [First added to this chart: 06/20/2017]

See Milli Vanilli, Snap, everything else that's cheesy, has really really bad rap lyrics and dominated late 80s music like nothing else. [First added to this chart: 06/20/2017]

Many will agree that Dancing Queen and Take A Chance on Me are solid pop tunes (and The Winner Takes it All is actually quite a heart-breaking tune considering it's about the break-up of both the band AND the relationships that formed it), but still, it's hard to say "I quite sorta kinda like Abba" without coughing just a little bit. Definitely ok to like Flock of Seagulls, I wouldn't consider that album a guilty pleasure or the album Listen. Great new wave albums. Indeed the haircut is terrible but the music is classic 80s.
