Top 100 Music Albums of 2020

Well even though I have other years to take care of, I'll rank my favorites for 2020 from time to time. I will say, I'm excited for supposedly Autechre's 2 albums for 2020. Arca, Disclosure, Blu & Exile, Phoebe Bridges another Nicolas Jaar album. Hopefully a new Avalanches album. And others I might not think about unless they are for certain or peaks my interest. Also want to mention that I might listen the new Jeff Rosenstock and Perfume Genius albums soon.
Part 1: Weeknd delivered, might be my favorite album of the year. While I'd argue Tame Impala released a more welcoming album. I'd argue Weeknd released an album that is able to escape the real world while still acknowledging what is going on in 3/20/2020. Hopefully by the end of the year we can all laugh at this. Also want to add that the Sufjan collab was great and while the Igorrr was a bit disappointing, it was still excellent and a heavy recommendation that like metal but want it somewhat weird.
Coming back to tell you Rina delivered immensely and is gonna be a hard challenge to get a pop album as dope as that one.
Part 2: Can't believe I hit over 100 albums in 2020. And it isn't over yet. Do want to get at least 250 albums due to have a nice spread of listening while have a form of content when making a year end list and a hopeful decade list. Also want to add that I have finally have filled out a year end list as well as a list in general for the site. I'm happy. But that does mean anything in the bottom will be kicked out.
Part 3 While the new album cover for the new Lady Gaga album is dope, it's a shame we have to wait a while for it.
Part 4. If I listen to anything that I feel like is a lower than a 70 I will list it out with an explain a bit why I feel the way I do.
Black Eyed Peas-Translaion Light 3 but could be lower. As of now the biggest disappointment of the year due to not only regressed from the laser focused ambitions of Master Of The Sun Vol.1 but an album that makes The Beginning sound like a five star meal in comparison.
Sam Hunt-Southside Light to Decent 4. Boring run of the mill pop country that acts like mush.
Lil Baby-My Turn Strong 4 to a Light 5. A few of the sounds are a bit interesting, but a record to be forgotten.
Car Seat Headrest-Making a Door Less Open Light to Decent 6. An admirable attempt in electronica, but doesn't land the mark by not being fully committed or have sounds that detract from the experience.
Neil Young-Homegrown Decent to Strong 6. An album that while is quite pleasantly sound for the most part, just sounds somewhat mid pace for my liking. If you want something traditional, give this a listen. You might like it more than me.
This is an update where I have so many more albums that I have to get rid of stuff, add new albums and re listen to some albums that I feel the grade could go up. Might not happen till late December to early January of 2021.

10. Not only has this album been getting a good amount of listens, but also been hitting a personal high note where I might argue that this album might be the best thing the Orb has ever done. And I haven't listen to every album from them. Just got another full listen for this. Yeah I made my mind. This is a 10.

Decent 9. If a few of the songs were mixed a little better, this could be a strong 9 or even a 10. I love this a lot.

Honestly, @Mercury, this needs an update. Will want to go back to this once I revisit 2020 for clean up and wishlist stuff.

You didn't love Moonbuilding? Though I would absolutely recommend Abolition. Also 36 & Zake once you listen to it is an ambient record. One of my absolute favorites for ambient.

I didn't realise the Orb had a new album out this year. Tbh, I haven't really loved anything they're released since UFOrb (possibly my favourite ever ambient record), but who knows.
Oh, and great list! My favourite type of list on BEA is the one that shows me another perspective and opens me up to new music I may not have heard beforehand. Like, "Who the **** is 36 & 扎克 ? Let's find out!". Thumbs up, and thanks.
