pandemic, year one: a lot of these records was created in anticipation of performing live. But we won't get tired of dancing to 80s sounding pop music in our living room so soon (although millenial pop revival is just around the corner). Nonetheless, even Taylor Swift has figured that only folk could warm our hostile lockdowned hearts in moments of solitude. Not to forget that the empowerment of BLM translates very well to the vibe of some of these records. Without this music, the year would have been worse
