These guys are making the best folk music around. Forget Of Monsters and Men. Forget Mumford & Sons (forget them just because they suck.) Fleet Foxes is the band that people need to look to for full, lush, and meaningful folk music. Both of their albums are masterpieces, and chances are, whatever they will do next won't be anything short of brilliant.
I gave my girlfriend the Sun Giant EP, Helplessness Blues and the debut album, and through each one of them, she cried. She told me that there was a certain beauty to each and everyone of their songs and she told me that they quite simply knew what was wrong in life and what was right. I was moved by that, though I may not like them as much as her, any band that can pull a reaction like that is well worth watching.
My biggest problem with this band is how every track can sound a little....repetitive. Like, every track has a choral sound to it, and every track has to sound big and epic, and every track has to be all echo-y.

I've tried to listen to them several times, but they just have too heavy a 60's vibe for me. Weird because I usually love what most people consider similar current day artists. Oh well.

these guys are great and I can't wait to hear their new work, and seeing them climb up the top band list.... can't wait for new album..
