Joe Meek

The Alchemist of Pop, What more can i say?

Joe was crazy (All geniuses are), he never had a expensive studio or someone who sponsor him at the level of his sounds he helped create in the late 50's and 60's, Telstar (a song written and produced by him) was the first number 1 Top chart of Britain in the USA (2 years prior to the British invasion) and was also pioneer in using the Studio as an Instrument to create and innovate in different sounds with genres like Space Pop, Experimental Pop and Proto-Punk
