Another fantastic album by Isbell. The songwriting is stellar and super consistent throughout. A great collection of folk/americana.

The smooth yet raspy vocal from Kelly is fantastic. It feels like some songs sound like they end a tad prematurely, in particular the track “Alive”. This is a brilliantly soft, stripped back and melancholic country album.

One of the best punk vocals around and some of the most infectious and hard hitting punk at the moment. Idles are in a league of their own. The sublimely catchy “Model Village” and the incredibly harsh sounding “Reigns” are the obvious standouts.

The sample of “1985” is amongst my favourite samples of all time. The guitar just sounds so rich. The relaxed flow of Freddie Gibbs and the superb Alchemist production makes this a top tier rap album and a great listen.
