Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 63.3/100, a mean average of 63.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.4.

Not as bad as I remember. Lyrically terrible - even by Oasis standards. Thankfully shorter than BHN.

This was the album that let me know for sure that my favourite band of the time would never return to the heights of the first two albums.
Oasis used to always start a live set with Swamp Song but after this album they would kick off with F ing in the Bushes, which was pretty cool. Just changing an opening song can really change how a gig feels and somehow their gigs felt more adult after this. I don't know how they didn't get sued by the Doors for Put Your Money Where Yer Mouth Is. Gas Panic is a great Oasis song but Little James is utter garbage.
Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory sound seamless, you know? Like every song is made for the next, like you can't imagine the order of the songs being any different. Be Here Now and this album just feel as though a bunch of songs were put in any random order.
SOTSOG isn't that bad, really, considering it has some fine cuts throughout. Honestly, Oasis could have made a really good EP from the five or so best tracks, but the rest of the album weighs it down and marks it as decidedly less than its predecessors.
Let's All Make Believe, I'll also say, is the best Oasis song of the 2000s, and this album would have been so much better had it been on the track list.

Standing on the shoulders of The Beatles. Known as a wannabe Beatles, but ultimately crap.
An underrated album that is at least as good as Be Here Now. This wasn't a classic album, but it was their last album worth listening to. Fuckin' in the Bushes, Gas Panic, and Roll Over are among the best Oasis songs and stand up to anything else they did in the past.

Sempre fantásticos!
I called it a "really bad album" one and a half year ago, but apparently it turns out opinions can change. Very good release, one of their best.
Starts off pretty strong but falls apart after "Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is."

Come on guys, is it that bad? I mean, first half of the album is 6/10 and second half 8/10, I see a lot of hate here.
Is not the best album of the world, but c'mon, Gas Panic, Who Feels Love, this songs are amazing!
