Oasis is an overrated band that made 2 excellent albums to start their career and then meandered along with varying skill to carve out an established and lengthy career.

Everyone loves a story and brothers in a band that squabble and fight is interesting enough combined with their stellar start to keep people listening.

No, they do not deserve to be higher than Outkast. I can only guess that you've never listened to them and assume that they're awful because it's rap. Outkast were innovative, Oasis were derivative.

Hit n' miss for me, I can't even remember what they did on the new millenium because their songs aren't as memorable as their nineties years.
The first two albums were ok, pretty good, but after those two everything they did was bland brit pop, repeating everything they did, no innovation, all the songs sounding the same.
An average rock band it is for me

It DEEPLY saddens me this band is so highly rated. I think maybe it was a UK craze? I mean don't get me wrong, they had some good hits and all, but I put them on the same level as like Third Eye Blind... NOT, I repeat NOT Miles Davis or R.E.M.

I don't get all this hate against Oasis.

They clearly deserve higher rating than a poor 71/100. They are far better than idk...Outkast for exemple (which is 10 f**king points higher).
Oasis deserves at least an 80/100.

And c'mon, Morning Glory 81/100???? It has to be irrational hate, because it's a fantastic album which I wouldn't give less than a 85/100.

All about the first two albums for me...after that there were some highlights but not the overall impact of those two. Listening back now its a lot of the so-called B-sides that stand out.

Their first 2 albums are pretty good. Then they've started to be a little boring most of their songs were plate except the ballads (only cause they are all the same)...Their merit is that they've written a few of generational anthems and nobody can deny it.

I don't think they were even close to be the best band of the 90s. One of the biggest and most popular, sure. But not the best. For me, Morning glory is their only truly great album. The rest goes from pretty good to incredibly mediocre, in my opinion. But hey, they were never unlistenable, and let's be fair here, one great album is more than lots of bands achieve in a lifetime.

They definitely shouldn't be in the top 25 artists of all time. Their first two albums were good Britpop records, but the rest isn't worth listening to. Also, Liam Gallagher is by no means a good singer.

A good band who created two fantastic albums. Afterwards, things were inconsistent, but they managed to put some great tunes here and there. I find Heathen Chemistry to be very underrated, It's not Morning Glory by any means but I like it a lot.
