Breakthrough Album from the ultimate good time rock band. Underrated due to their simplistic formula, but hell man they know how to rock a great tune and rock it well.......

For sound, I always prefered to listen to Brian. But Bon has a better voice for the AC/DC vibe.

This my favorite album by this particular band. Not much different than most of their other works, but I somehow prefer it.

Love it! RIP Bon Scott, Brian Johnson is great but he's no Bon Scott. Scott was the definition of sleaze, but in a good way!

I prefer Dirty Deeds better but still great.

Remember when Richard Ramirez was killing women in California, and all the police had as evidence was an AC/DC hat? People thought 'Night Prowler' inspired rapists and murderers to sneak up on unsuspecting women.

To think people saw AC/DC as dangerous.

Oh yeah - this is their best Bon Scott effort.

2nd fav AC/DC after 'Back in Black'.

The debate regarding the best AC/DC album always comes down to Back in Black or Highway to Hell. Personally I've always preferred Bon Scott to Brian Johnson for his grittier, raunchier sound... not that Brian wasn't a master of both those traits as well, just a notch below Bon. Also the title track is AC/DC at their evil best. These guys are one of the best heavy rock bands of all time and this is their pinnacle.

This will be a quick one. What do get when you combine damnation with the autobahn? The Highway to Hell! That's what! This is guitar music first and for most. This is a band which get scolded at for recording with like "3 chords all the time man". The band members give a middle finger to that now, then and when ever. This is in the past by the way. 'Highway To Hell' starts with a riff that will be cursed in the void of your skull after repeated listens. Got to say that is what you came for, isn't it? Elsewhere the group are on top form with the woe is me but the hell with that artillery of 'Shoot Down In Flames' and scalding hop scotch of 'Girls Got Rhythm'. No sitars or Hindu mythology or whatever the flying elephant they put in the albums now. This is meat and potatoes. Listen to him scream on 'Touch Too Much'. Listen to band thrash away. That's what you're getting throughout.
