Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 79.9/100, a mean average of 79.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.6.

Great album. Bit underrated I feel. The duo that are one of the kings of Folk. 'Patterns' being the gem sleeper. Why this isn't one of their better known tracks is beyond me. One of their best songs in my opinion.

A very good record and one of the best from the '60s.

A lot of beautiful highlights, but when you get into the vibe of this album, suddenly an out of place track comes. Surely not their best but by no means weak.

This is a tricky record from S&G. There are some TOP tracks, but also some true skips.

This is a really solid album. Their first real classic. They infuse their folk rock sound with 60s pop rock. A stepping stone to Bookends and their magnum opus Bridge Over Troubled Water.

I've slept to this album as a kid, and I'll listen to it til the day I die. This album has brilliant songs, but really excels as something supremely listenable to.

If they had combined the best of songs of this album with Sound of silence best one's, it would'd resulted in one of the best songwriters albums of all times. Even on each own there are great albums with amazing highlights.

'Scaborough Fair', 'Homeward Bound', 'The 59th Bridge Steet Song' and 'A Poem on the Underground Wall' are some highlights. Not quite as well written and cohesive as their debut effort, but still a strong showing from one of the sixtees greatest duos!
