In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel
edit: loved it for lofi. loved it for alliteration. now, i think the lofi is just lazy and the alliteration (most of the lyrics, tbh) is mostly very contrived. i think the hype machine hoodwink'd me into loving this when it's just ok. not a bad album, per say, and not exactly embarrassing, but it's not a part of my record collection i'm *proud* of. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

Yeah, WTF people? Those are both great.
In high school my favorite album was:

The Wall by Pink Floyd
I listened to it on repeat way more times than I'd like to admit.
I don't get around to it that often anymore, and when I do, I cringe at some of the stuff I used to think was brilliant. So I guess it counts.
But here's the thing...I still kind of love it. Even the cringy parts. So maybe it doesn't count. In general I don't think you should be embarrassed about what music you love. If you connect with something that other people don't think is cool, so what? Be who you are.

It appears to me that we may be mistaking the word embarrassed for kinda-burned-out-on
Everything listed here is fine and good music. Why would you be embarrassed about liking music that's well written, well played...well made? _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

For once, I have to disagree. Does that mean one could only be embarrassed by, lets say David Hasselhof? Or David Cassidy?
I always hated Michel Jackson for example, canโt stand his music. But of course it is "well made". But, boy, would I be embarrassed had I once liked him.
Sometimes your love just cools of, but for me in the case of Springsteen, I just cannot understand, how I could have liked him once. It is so ... overblown, if this is the word. _________________ When the stewardess is near do not show any fear.

i guess i'm embarrassed because over the years, i no longer believe that album was well-written, well-played or well-made? like... not in the least. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.
