Lizzo feels like a better choice for a 2019 song tournament, as a whole LP the album could get a bit tiring. While I didn't think the Charli album was particularly ground-breaking either for her or music at large, I did enjoy it pretty consistiently and was a nice surprise after that incredibly dissapointing and overhyped Gone single. I'm nowhere near the Charli fan I was maybe 5 or 6 years ago but still an easy vote for XCX.

Didn't like Charli much for a variety of reasons, and Cuz I Love You was one of my favourite pop albums last year. Gonna go with Lizzo. _________________ Overall chart

If you think Lizzo is better or more important than Charli we're gonna have to talk.

Or in 2019 for that matter. I just like Lizzo more. I'm always up for a talk though. _________________ Overall chart

This would be largely understating Charli's importance. She's not nearly as important as Robyn, but she is very much as influential as she is impactful in her lane and has already made so many moves. Is her album in question the influential force? No, not really. It goes well before that.
I mean, vote for what you like, but in my view Lizzo is just another flavor that we've seen before and her album is just too inconsistent.

The latter seems like something fresh in the pop scene, with the insane (but not overdone) production and homemade aesthetics. I'm still not a big fan of that one, but I respect it. Maybe Pop 2 or her earlier work was influential or groundbreaking as well, but Charli wasn't imo.
I've already voted Lizzo, no worries. It does have a filler or two, but I seem to enjoy the highs on Cuz I Love You much more than anything on Charli. _________________ Overall chart

So easily Charli XCX. Lizzo's cloying throwback pop is featherweight and indistinct, whereas Charli's forward-thinking, high-energy confessionals are a bright spot in any year. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

Charli def let me down a bit after pop 2 (or true romance, for that matter), but still liked it a lot - Gone is for sure the standout, easily one of Charli's best 5 (probably 3) songs!
but to each their own agw
haven't listened to lizzo all the way thru, but while i liked the singles, i tired of them fairly quickly. imagine I'll vote Charli but will perform my due diligence _________________ My top songs of the 2010s
