I was really unimpressed with both of these albums when they were released. Particularly Gorillaz, since Fax Gang is at least unique with a novel concept, though not necessarily for me. Gorillaz was just a let down.
For me, "Désolé" was the clear highlight of Song Machine. That gets my vote, although on a relisten to "Reality/Dreams", I enjoyed it more than originally. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

It's far from their best, but I’ll always have a special place in my heart for anything Gorillaz - related and Reality/Dreams is a song I don't quite get so it's an easy vote for Desole. _________________ Bob Dylan Charles Mingus
Not only is Song Machine still one of my favorite records of the decade, Desole is perhaps my favorite song of the decade too. I love all elements of it. The other song doesn't stand a chance, even if it were against the Gorillaz album's weakest track. _________________ My Top 100 :
