"A breezy, quirky and endearing record from The Magnetic Fields that sounds like some of the best synthpop artists from the previous decade whilst carrying its own distinctive flourishes. Just as synthpop faded completely once the 90s came around, here's why no-one should have dismissed the genre ..."  [+]  Reply

"This one has received a lot of criticism for being an uninspired affair and the band was said to have run out of steam. That is also how I remembered the album, but after returning to it I realized that this is a hell of a lot better than it's reputation. Even though it tends to get a tad formula..."  [+]  Reply

"Ray Lamontagne's third album sees him continuing his rustic sound. It's a good record, but to me the first two tracks, you are the best thing, and, let it be me, sound like songs requested by his record company for two commercial tracks for single purposes and then he can do what he wants with th..."  [+]  Reply

"Recalling his streamlined synth-driven masterpiece Kaputt, as well as his dreamier guitar work on Trouble in Dreams, Ken is a consistent and concise record with no obvious standouts. Sounding like an amalgamation of his previous records, Ken displays no real musical progression or growth for Dest..."  [+]  Reply

"Its not on the level of their first two albums, but CSN is an enjoyable and cohesive effort. Although none of the songs reach the high points the self titled debut and Deja Vu hit. Graham Nash's contributions to this album are among the best songs. Its his works that stand out from the pack."  Reply

"This is the best Otis Redding album I've heard personally. Though I like "Otis Blue", this one is just better in my opinion track-for-track. The unbelievably spectacular opening track almost overshadows the rest of the album with its sheer power and attention it commands, but especially on repeat..."  [+]  Reply
