"The 1st half is good despite Karma being formulaic. The 2nd half is dull cuz they're focused on a low-key R&B flavour that lacks vocal range and range for instruments themselves as well. Track pick: You Don't Know My Name." Reply

"I love these guys, but unfortunately for me this a small step down from their first two albums. It feels as though there is less spontaneity and energy, though it isn't too detrimental. They definitely have a lot more focus on intricacy and atmosphere, which is always nice. Still highly recommend..." [+] Reply
"I received this album as part of an extended family blind Christmas gift exchange... when I was seven... not the best gift to land in the hands of a seven year old. "This album was more than a surprise for me, I didn't expect to like it as much as I did at all. It seems like it has influences sprawling from The Antlers to even twinkly early emo bands like American Football. I can't recommend this album enough, it's full of raw emotion and tight instrumentals...." [+] Reply

PH was good at determining which songs were more intimate and deserved to be released solo and which deserved the full group treatment and should be played by VdGG. Mostly guitar based album.
