"I'm surprised that no one has yet commented on this album. It is one of their better efforts and no, I don't think the overplayed hit Black Water was the best song. Pursuit on 53rd St., Eyes of Silver, and Another Park are all better songs. This band was so much better before Michael McDonald bec..."  [+]  Reply

"Really feels like they're just going through the motions now. Their music isn't bad yet, but I fear the day they take the plunge. Overall, a pretty dull experience. Which is weird to say considering their albums are always intense in a very gratifying way."  Reply

"This album is on another level. From the simple premise coming from the radio of the early 20th century evolving into the unknown drifting into space. A dreamy, hazy and uplifting journey."  Reply

"Excellent double live album from their early days. I know there is some debate (now) whether bands like Whitesnake, Rainbow and Deep Purple were Heavy Metal bands. Put it like this, they were then! I saw Whitesnake with Cozy Powell on the drum stool and John Lord on keyboards back in the eighties..."  [+]  Reply

"I'm very surprised by this album... this old band still has energy and good material to cheer us up... technically impeccable, serious and competent progressive metal, an album for progressive metal fans to evaluate"  Reply

"Gotta love clipping. I probably set my expectations too high for their second album, but there’s still a lot to be enjoyed here. Just like their self-titled debut, Splendor & Misery demands to be listened to in one uninterrupted sitting to get the full effect. This time around there’s a more cohe..."  [+]  Reply
