I love this album. I'd put it narrowly between All Hour Cymbals and Odd Blood. There's a lot more acoustic exploration on this album and some really unique sound textures arise out of this, which only goes on to accent the strange lyrics in a really mutually beneficial way.

Seriously underrated band on this site. One of the best albums of 2012 for me

Yeasayer's sound hasn't budged from their last release. There are less "hits" on this indie synth-rock album, pointing to a more "complicated" feel this time around. "reagan's skeleton" and "devil and the deed" are the best tracks if you're looking for a place to start.

This was a serious departure from the brilliance of Odd Blood...I feel like Yeasayer is getting weirder, but not necessarily getting better...

They just keep going further and further away from what I enjoyed on all our symbols. On the bright side, I guess it does make Odd Blood look a little bit better now.
