I’ve never heard Chicken Talk and Blackout, but it’s hard for me to imagine voting against The Infamous. It’s a perfect rap album in every sense. Game Theory is a strong contender though, very good matchup. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart
Good match. I just listened to Game Theory, and it was fantastic! As for “I Wish” suddenly not being watchable... that’s a bummer. I’m sure it can be found relatively easily. At least I hope so. It was one of my fave songs as a kid. Was fun revisiting it.
Maybe this will be accessible by everyone. Idk how that works.
I'm happy that I have to go up against a titan like "The Infamous" first. I think the group I made for this round is fairly balanced though, and I like Merc's other picks as well.
Just have to listen to the Gucci Mane record now. Haven't actually heard a full-length project by him.
Well luckily Chicken Talk is the best place to start.
He's got a lot of junk so it can be tough to know what's worth it. Gucci's got quite a few classics including Chicken Talk, The Burrprint, Mr. Zone 6, Trap House, & The State vs. Radric Davis.
Many very good projects too, 'WW3 Lean' is worth starting just for Young Thug's verse on the intro alone . Post prison Gucci hasn't been too hot recently but his 4 album run from Everybody Looking - Droptopwop was nuts. _________________ Griselda, by Fashion Rebels 2020's Hip-Hop 2020's Country

Blackout - Dreamworld
Damn! This shit is dope. My girlfriend & I have been binging the early Halloween's and Friday The 13ths and this music is perfect for that vibe. Fall at night with a psychotic serial killer on the loose. Creeping through the streets. Kicking up the dead leaves. Breathing heavy. Condensation in the air. The twist? It's YOU behind that mask.

alright so on 2006 we have
-the best roots album
-one of the greatest mixtapes ever dropped (not to mention one of the most historically important moments in trap history, chicken talk is probably more influential than any trap project that isn't by TI or Jeezy, except maybe Flockaveli?)
-some top tier madvillain
-THROW SOME D'S ON THAT BITCH THROW SOME D'S ON THAT BITCH
practically unstoppable
BUT
that 1995 team is undeniably devastating as well. the 1-2 creepfest punch of Blackout and Gravediggaz, right alongside the fucking Imfamous? I Wish ain't half bad either.
probably the tightest match of the first round for me, gonna have to think this one over some... _________________ A Variety of Artists
1995 is my favourite team so far. Really nice discovery with Blackout, perfect singles choice (hope the Gravediggaz album makes an appearance in one of the 1994 teams), and The Infamous is deservedly a classic.
Well, I feel that I should say something as the person that has something DOOM-related in their group.
I can't fully express my feelings at this point for DOOM'S passing. However, I've been playing his music all night, and I know that this track that I picked here fully expresses his mic abilities.
Please give it a listen, and please remember ALL CAPS when you spell the man's name.
