I was going to make fun of it, and then I remembered that I had actually never listened to it. Also, I quite enjoy Only By The Night. Ah, damn you, peer pressure.

As do I, don't really see the hate for that album. Anyways, out of the KOL albums I've heard, this is probably my least favourite.

Fun and youthful, but less "drunk" than the debut.

Kings of Leon aren't bad, but they are pretty uninterestingly safe and inoffensive.

Without meaning to sound too pretentious, this is one of those great, post-Strokes/Is This It albums that's rocking and fun, never terribly profound, but has an ever subtle melancholic edge that makes the album that much more notable. For what this is, it's one of the best of its kind. Definitely the highlight of Kings of Leon's solid discography.

Track picks
2. King of the Rodeo
3. Taper Jean Girl
5. Milk
8. Razz
12. Rememo

Funny, I think the same about you.

Anyway, this album is OK. Much better than the stuff that came after it.
