Among my favorite album artwork. This album really features an all-star group of contributing musicians: many from west Africa like Manu Dibango (King Sunny Ade, Youssou N'Dour, Angélique Kidjo, Ray Lema, Salif Keita), but also South Africa (Ladysmith Black Mambazo) and even featuring Peter Gabriel. Writing credits include many other big names like Miriam Makeba and Paul Simon.
I wouldn't say this is Dibango's best, nor is it the best of any of the contributors, but it's a damn great collection of makossa and Afro-funk music.
