Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.0/100, a mean average of 77.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 11.9.

A disappointing and dull album

The peak of the Faces' career. "Cindy", "My Fault", "Late Side", "Glad and Sorry", and "Ooh La La" are all excellent songs and come basically one after another. Rod's vocals are fine as ever (on the ones where he bothered to show up), and the talented band show off their skills, albeit in a more condensed manner than some of their earlier compositions.

The Faces last album, is their second best. Ooh la la, is a short punchy rock'n'roll record with the band giving their all, maybe they knew it was the last? The title track is a classic, and other standouts include, Cindy incidentally, and, glad and sorry. True rock'n'roll by a true rock'n'roll band.

I can't help but love this band. This is not their strongest record but, how do you follow up A Nod Is As Good As A Wink...

A good album but not as good as their two previous albums from 1971. Best tracks Cindy Incidentally , Glad & Sorry & Ooh La La.
