Not Rod's best release but not his worst either. Most of his worst releases came after this. (Edited)
Strong rock 'n' roll album with that Rod Stewart folk twang. Really gets rolling in the second half with shout-it-out rockers like Too Bad and their cover of Memphis, Tennessee. Also some nice quiet, passionate stuff on here like Love Lives Here and Debris. Of course Stay with Me is one of the defining songs of classic rock. Certainly the best of their records I've heard.
