Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 8% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.1/100, a mean average of 75.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 11.9.

My favorite Rod Stewart album. Teams up with the former Small Faces to release one of his most rock bluesy formats before he let everything go to his head. Great licks from Ronnie Wood honing in on his excellent multi-instrumentalist guitar playing. Really shines on the Mandolin with bassist Ronnie Lane singing on "Richmond.

Solid album; the kind of rock-folk you’d expect from Rod Stewart. A couple of tracks here are unnecessary, but also some really good stuff—both Bad ‘n’ Ruin and Had Me a Real Good Time are great.

Remember when Rod Stewart was relevant and hungry? A good record but the best was yet to come. Not a must have record unless your a big fan.

A better album than the previous years First Step. Not as good as A Nod Is as Good as..... but better than Ooh La La. Best tracks are Sweet Lady Mary, Bad n Ruin Had Me a Real Good Time & I Feel So Good.
