Like a slightly more innovative but far less striking Lorde, K Flay mixes up alternative rock, hip-hop and electronic beats that's musically engaging... but her lyrics feel a bit contrived and overly-earnest rather than giving off that raw feeling she's clearly aiming for. Still, not bad for a still-young artist, and I guess if you always wished Lorde rocked out some more or rapped occasionally, well... here you go
