Their greatest and most consistent set of Roxy Music songs, illustrating their startling depth.
One of my favourite Roxy Music albums, country life is a lot more than that excellent record sleeve. The thrill of it all, is a brilliant opener, and the LP never lets up with superb tracks such as, all I want is you, bitter sweet, and, prairie rose, all being highlights. Another classic Roxy album.
Their best album musically and visually stimulating to boot !!!
Roxy in high gear. A solid clutch of the band's best songs reside in these grooves, including "The Thrill of It All," "Out of the Blue" and "Prairie Rose," capped by Ferry's surreal lounge lizard vocal stylings. And that album art has its own place in the teen fantasy hall of fame. It's a complete package.
