A really impressive release from Lucy , lyrically is where this album really shines , pay close attention and you'll be richly rewarded
Second to last track "Pillar Of Truth" is truly epic and album standout track for mine
Lucy Dacus has the honour of being the only artist to appear twice in my 2018 Best Album List - first as a 3rd of Boygenius and now with her individual release 'Historian'

I hate myself for not wanting to listen to this sooner. I think this is absolutely fantastic. "Night Shift" is probably one of this year's bests and the album cover is simply amazing.

A terrific singer-songwriter album. It's pretty dark and introspective and makes an excellent headphones or solitary listen in the dark, with coffee and/or alcohol. Night Shift is one of the best songs I've heard this year.

As someone who was pretty cold on No Burden, this is a nice surprise. Polished, yes, but still beautifully written and biting.
