Dec19. This is solid. Enjoyed this more than 2 other Mastodon side-projects (Giraffe Tongue and Gone Is Gone). 'We are the Seagullmen' is a nice anthemic opening. 'Shipswreck' has a cool riff and awesome shredding later in the song. 'Curse of the Red Tide' starts out slow with Nick Cave-like vocals and then builds into a soaring epic. 'Legend of the Seagullmen' is a cool story and listen for the Stooges- like riff. The last few are a little slower. Overall, a fun and cool thematic album. 3.5/5
