Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 61.4/100, a mean average of 60.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 60.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.4.

Leaves a lot to be desired. Cardi’s flow is ace, but songs feel repetitive, even between tracks.
Cardi B music is overrated.
Surpreendeu com o álbum!
@HoldenM, the horrendous cover art is the best thing about the album.
When are we going to stop giving people devoid of talent (or even listenability?) music careers?
My favorite album of 2018. I listened to this twice when it first came out and dismissed it. But I've revisited it this month and can hardly put it down.
There's nothing groundbreaking or mind-blowing here, but there are plenty of punchlines, personality, and pure entertainment to keep me engaged over multiple listens.
This album is just alright, but what bugs me is people calling this the album of the year. Wat? Guys, just becasuse she popluar doesn't mean it's a 10/10.
Cardi B proves she can rap. Cardi B proves she can't write. Cardi B proves she can't pick interesting beats. Cardi B proves she might be able to make a good album one day. Cardi B proves this isn't it.
Negatives: There's a solid handful of duds on this, and the lack of variation makes this an unquestionably boring experience. The features, despite being stacked, are bland, phoned-in, aimless and evidently uncoordinated. I Like It is really tacky, which probably means it'll be a hit, and Be Careful should be in a scrap bin (it just has 'scrap' written all over it). Despite being average song lengths, every track feels way too long. The painful production on She Bad (did no one... listen to this first?).
Positives: There are moments (to my surprise) where she shines though, truly. There's some really great one/two liners and a couple solid no-nonsense verses. The first track is great. So is Bartier Cardi. She gets it, she knows how to throw punches. Somewhere. Under a bunch of clutter.
She needs to gain some confidence. You can tell she's wearing a mask. Drop the guests. Pick more flavoured beats. Tighten up a couple verses. Learn some new words. But she knows how to rap.
I haven't listened to the album yet, and I'm inclined to believe it's perfectly fine, but the cover art has to be among the worst I've seen in recent years.
