If Queen and Panic At The Disco had an orgy that resulted in a bastard child then Jukebox The Disco would be that child

'Off To The Races' is rather good but blink and you'll miss it with the 10 tracks flying by in 33 minutes , but I love this approach as too many albums are bloated and way too long

The band are unashamedly Queen fans and aren't afraid to wear their influences on their sleeve with opening track "Jumpstarted" sounding more Queen than Queen (and TBH I recon the album title 'Off To The Races ' pays homage to Queens 'A Day At The Races) . How ever this track is atypical of the album as a whole

It took me a while to like this album so word of warning its a real grower . The lyrics drip with sarcasm and are well worth paying attention to . Musically its all rather poppy with addictive melodies and delicious hooks

So 'Off To The Races' is well worth the price of admission and has been added to my list of favourites for 2018
