Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 8% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.4/100, a mean average of 75.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 10.0.

Pretty decent record, albeit lacking the coherence and consistency of 'Garden Of Delete'.
There are definitely some standout moments to be found on Lopatin's messiest and least focused album. However I cant help but feel that these great musical ideas could have been improved by a more unifying and thematically consistent whole.
Should win the "Spirit of Eno" award. Labryinthine in construction and execution. Some wonderful little moments.

On my first listen, I was blown away by the production and compositions of every track.
They range from very intense, scary and noisy to weirdly chill and atmospheric, but they always remain intricately layered, detailed and ominous.
After some relistens I must say that Daniel manages to, not only, cover new ground, polish his production and mixing, create more vast soundscapes and write more grand, lush and gorgeous compositions, but also, expand his signature sound to a "retro-futuristic, vintage, experimental, new age, art" pop style, with a ton of great sounds, textures and ideas, while delivering some of the best electronic music of the decade.
Fave tracks: The Station, Toys 2, Age Of, Same, Warning, Last Known Image of a Song, Black Snow, Manifold
Least fave track: Babylon
