Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.4/100, a mean average of 76.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.1.

Experimental, but very empty at times. Too much time and space wasted for the narrative of the music to work.
Highlights: All of Them.
Probably my AOTY for 2018; completely unexpected turn for Low with droning electronic distortion reverberating behind most songs on this record. Completely mesmerized by several tracks - arresting in a way that makes you stop what you're doing just to listen closer.
Favorite tracks: Quorum, Dancing and Blood, Rome, Disarray
While Low's last album teased at a more electronically distorted sound, I still wasn't ready for this trip into the unknown. The tight harmonies are still there, as are the charmingly forthright lyrics, but the shape and texture this time around is so wildly different as to have the impact of a brand new artist's work. An exceptionally exciting new direction for a band well established enough to not need to take risks (and incredible live as well).
Beautiful and brooding this is an excellent lights out listen. To be honest I haven't heard much of Low before but I came by this and loved it. Time to check out the back catalogue I think.
My AOTY for 2018. A true album that never deviates from its theme.
Brilliant!
Here on album number 12 Low deliver a bleak and harrowing account of America today via a withering electronica soundscape that is both hard to listen to and intoxicating at the same time
This isn't 'Things We Lost in the Fire' but it is one of 2018's most interesting and essential albums
70/100
Interesting ambient/electronica. Some good moments
I am so in shock that the band that made "Lullaby" made this album. It's a total left field turn and It was love at firs sight
