Dec18. Tad too middle of the road for me. Was waiting for a song to rip or catch me. Some okay songs. Only 1st listen, so more time needed.
Jun19. Had a few more listens and I love last song, 'I Can Feel It Calling'. Also like 'Something Bigger Than This' & 'Checking Out Miming in the Choir' but nothing else grabbed me, including the singles. Upped score slightly. 2.5/5

Massive surprise this one , its good & thoroughly enjoyable
Mind you I'm a sucker for Anthemic Rock (Yes I own several Embrace CD's) and 'The American Dream ' delivers in spades , lets count the anthem tracks:
"Something Bigger Than This" (1) , "Friday Forever" (2) , "More Like This" (3) , "You Can Count On Me" (4) , "Lavender Bay" (5) , "Miming In The Choir" (6) , and "I Can Feel It Calling" (7)
And lyrically its interesting stuff about family , drugs , relationships , hardships and life in general
Yep its one of my favourite for 2018 , not necessarily the BEST album of 2018 simply one I ENJOY & everyone else be damned
