LISTEN...TO...THIS...ALBUM !!!
It's absolutely fabulous and the collaborations with other artist work really well:
- The duet with Nick Cave is breath-taking
- and otherwise the violins all over the album from Warren Ellis are really adding something extra
- very good collaborations with Ed Harcourt on New Moon in Paris and Mark Lanegan on They Come At Night
- a very good cover of It's All Over Now Baby Blue
- and last but not least she's covering herself on Witches Song and As Tears Go By
While the album is all about death as so many artists did before her these last years, her voice is still absolutely incredible and all the collaborations and covers aside, this is still her very personal album.
