Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 5% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.3/100, a mean average of 75.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.2.

I consider this Seger’s best work. His soulful bluesy voice makes listening enjoyable. You can’t go wrong with any song on this classic rock album. The pace of the song “Famous Final Scene” reminds me of his ballad song “Turn the Page”.

Even though this album has Seger standards like Old Time and Hollywood Nights - the gems are those that werent radio staples - The Famous Last Scene, Til It Shines and Brave Strangers - all not only hold this album together but propel this album to the best Bullet Album. Didn't hurt that Supernatural gave Seger his due either. They used his music to great effect throughout the show.

Fun heartland rock 'n' roll with many of Seger's all-time bests (We've Got Tonight, Hollywood Nights, Feel Like a Number, etc.) with a couple strong deep cuts you don't hear on the radio too often. Nothing that's going to blow you away, but a good choice if you're just looking for a solid classic rock record.

Este álbum trae al Seger más rockero (Old Time Rock And Roll) y, al mismo tiempo, sensible (Still The Same). Mi favorito.

A great release from Bob Seger at his peak. Its an easy listen with about a handful of hits, but the other tracks are worthy of a listen as well. The Famous Final Scene is one of my favorite Seger deep cuts. For as much as people have tired of Old Time Rock N' Roll I never seem to.

Bob Seger is a musician, born and raised in the Detroit-area . As Bruce Springsteen is to Jersey, Bob Seger is to Michigan. The rootsy crunch of Seger’s Rock 'n' Roll is a bit glossier.

This is the R&B-based rock sound of blue-collar America in 1978. He writes for the common man. This album is filled with track after track of heart and soul.

Bob Seger is a impassioned Midwestern rocker, celebrating "Old Time Rock & Roll" .
