Garbage's "version 2.0" built off of what they did on "1.0". It's a sum of the parts of 3 tech-savvy studio producers, guitars and shirley's snarl. "special" is the standout track, but other hits include "i think i'm paranoid", "push it" and "when i grow up". The non-hits are a little better than version 1.0, like the frenetic urgency of "hammering in my head". "temptation waits" sets the pace.

Its like thier debut album but the songs are better overall.

Very good alternative rock/pop rock album. Best 10 songs average is 89,7/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. Best song is "When I grow up" 95/100, followed by "Temptation waits", "Special", "The trick is to keep breathing" and "You look so fine" all 90/100. All other songs good 80-85/100, except "Dumb" average 75/100 only. Favourite!

More poppy, but believe me, nobody cared. A great album.

I actually prefer this to their debut. I think it's a more consistent record and I like the more polished sound.
