Glorious, glorious indie pop with just enough political roughness to really enthrall you. "all aboard" takes you right into the setting of modern suburbia in the UK, with every song feeling like a different street of the town you live in. The healthy splash of synth-pop goodness is such a fantastic touch, especially on Get Set Go Kid, Everybody Loves You, and the fantastic, longing anthem that is Deja Vu - expect that to be fantastic when played live.
Grim Town feels like youthful disenfranchisement, following the trend of many records from the indie and alternative scene of the UK for the last few years. Where it differs, however, is the brightness of its melancholiness, the twinkle of its synths and dreaminess of those echoey vocals. An instant hit for me.
